dance, poetry) in the Kansas City metropolitan area with an emphasis on their
importance to the city??s culture,

To provide a comprehensive listing of performance events, including companies
of all levels and classifications,

To serve as a complete reference of opportunities and resources for performing
artists and companies,

To facilitate dialogue on the state of Kansas City??s performing arts community,

To encourage creative expression through performance by providing
non-judgmental exposure,

To educate local audiences in the languages and practices of the performing
arts, with the belief that an informed audience will desire a high-quality
experience, and that artists and companies will strive to meet such standards,

To demonstrate to Kansas City??s youth that it is worthwhile to pursue creative
